KB Home (NYSE: KBH) announced in a press release today that it has completed a nationwide rollout of BuilderBot, a state-of-the-art, fully autonomous, conversational artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot for homebuilders provided by AtlasRTX, in partnership with BDX. The chatbot will respond to home shopper questions, provide personalized information and assist prospective KB Home purchasers in their homebuying journey 24 hours a day in over 100 languages.
The AtlasRTX chatbot combines artificial intelligence, natural language processing and automation to create a real-time conversational interface to qualify, educate and build relationships with prospective homebuyers, and ultimately capture their contact information for direct follow-up. According to the press release, KB Home particularly values the ability of the chatbot to respond to questions quickly about communities and floor plans, provide personalized recommendations, help home shoppers schedule model home visits and appointments, and arrange for personal contact with a KB Home representative at any point during the customer journey.
The KB Home press release quotes Amit Desai, Chief Marketing Officer of KB Home. “The homebuying experience is evolving to meet customer demands for rapid information, more convenience, less pressure and a better overall experience. In response, we continue to reimagine how buying a home works and are pleased to offer an innovative, AI-powered chatbot platform that delivers a superior online customer experience and makes the homebuying journey even easier.”
Multiple production home builders, from smaller regional builders to national brands, have conducted side-by-side tests with Atlas chatbots and their own live chat solutions, and each time they have chosen the automated chatbot solution from AtlasRTX. Our data shows that homebuyers are 2-3x more likely to engage with a chatbot vs live chat because of the ability to immediately get answers to their questions. In addition, homebuilders are generating 4-7x more leads per 1,000 visitors, and since these leads are more qualified than leads coming from other sources, homebuilders are converting more leads into appointments and contracts.
“KB Home is one of the first national homebuilders to launch a chatbot platform that meets homebuyer expectations for an immediate and engaging 24/7 experience,” said Bassam Salem, CEO of AtlasRTX. “Through our collaboration, KB Home is serving up a state-of-the-art chatbot that continually gets smarter as it converses with home shoppers, providing custom information to help guide them through the research and buying process.”
